Melanie Kirk, ACNP
Melanie Kirk graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. She worked in a Level 1 Trauma Burn Intensive Care Unit and a Post Anesthesia Care Unit while pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing. In 2012, Melanie graduated with her MSN from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and began working as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in Hospital Medicine. While working in this specialty, she had the opportunity to care for numerous patients admitted to the hospital with gastrointestinal diagnoses. This experience sparked her interest in Gastroenterology. Melanie started working in gastroenterology in 2019 in Knoxville, TN. After relocating to Birmingham, Melanie joined BGA in 2024.
