Cassidy Quimby, PA-C
Cassidy Quimby, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with a strong background in patient-centered care and a special interest in digestive health. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, in 2010. After nearly a decade in healthcare, she went on to earn her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2019.
Before joining Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates, Cassidy worked in Reproductive Medicine, where she developed a deep understanding of complex, chronic conditions and the importance of empathetic, individualized care. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and joined Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates in 2023. She now works in collaborative practice with Dr. Charles A. Dasher, Jr., providing expert care to patients in both Birmingham and Pell City.
Cassidy diagnoses and manages a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, including acid reflux (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, and liver disease. She also plays an important role in colon cancer prevention, helping patients understand screening options and navigate pre- and post-procedure care.
Known for her thoughtful and thorough approach, Cassidy is passionate about empowering patients to take control of their gut health through education, prevention, and long-term care strategies. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across central Alabama.
