Katie Plourd, CRNP
Katie Plourd graduated from Wallace State Community College in 2006 with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Jacksonville State University in 2009. She worked as a registered nurse in a GI Lab for seven years before obtaining her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2012. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Katie began working with Birmingham Gastroenterology in May 2013 and serves as the nurse practitioner at our Cullman clinic alongside Dr. Swaroop Vitta and Dr. Brian McGrath.
