Our Story

Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates was established in 1978. Since then, we have grown into a group of 30+ Board-Certified Gastroenterologists with 13 clinic locations and 12 procedure locations across central Alabama. At Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates, we are committed to delivering compassionate, state-of-the-art healthcare of the highest quality to our patients.

As gastroenterologists, we care for patients with diseases and disorders of the digestive tract, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas. Gastroenterologists also receive specialized training in endoscopy, a non-surgical procedure that uses a flexible tube with a light and camera attached to examine the inside of the digestive tract.

Our physicians see patients and perform procedures at multiple locations conveniently located throughout Birmingham and central Alabama. Birmingham Gastroenterology physicians and advanced practice providers maintain collaborative relationships with local primary care providers. If your primary physician refers you to us, our office will communicate your treatment plan or test results with your physician.
