Swaroop Vitta, MD
Dr. Swaroop Vitta graduated magna cum laude from Birmingham Southern College with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He received his MD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Vitta joined BGA in August 2022.
