Callie Clark, CRNP

Callie Clark, CRNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in gastroenterology. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a Laboratory Research Manager and Technician and as a Histology Technician at UAB.

Callie received her Accelerated Master’s in Nursing Pathway from UAB in 2017 and worked as a Registered Nurse on the Gastrointestinal and Surgical Oncology Units, as well as in the Advanced Endoscopy Unit. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing–Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from UAB in August 2020.

She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and joined Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates in July 2022. Callie works in collaborative practice with Dr. Michael Phillips, providing care for a wide range of digestive health conditions.

Her clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of acid reflux (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver disease, abdominal pain, colon cancer prevention, and conditions of the pancreas and bile ducts. Callie is passionate about helping patients manage chronic GI conditions through compassionate, evidence-based care across the Birmingham area.
