Kayla Holland, PA-C

Kayla Holland, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in gastroenterology. She graduated cum laude from Auburn University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and went on to earn her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Alabama in 2016.

She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and joined Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates in January 2025. Kayla works in collaborative practice with Dr. Donny Kakati, providing comprehensive digestive health care to patients across central Alabama, including Birmingham, Pell City, and surrounding communities.

Her clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of acid reflux (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver disease, abdominal pain, and colon cancer prevention. Kayla is dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-focused care that supports long-term gastrointestinal wellness.
